ABORIGINAL JOINT VENTURES
Cloutier’s Machine Shop Ltd.’s major customer base operates and constructs near many Aboriginal communities. We are committed to building positive and sustainable relationships with the Aboriginal communities whose ways of living may be impacted by our customer and/or our own business activities.
In addition to our customers, Cloutier’s Machine Shop Ltd. also practices effective consultation to the mutual benefit of the Company and Aboriginal communities. We respect the cultural diversity and recognize the importance of traditional ways of life in reference to the environment and cultivate relationships based on open transparency, trust and respect. Our commitment to engaging Aboriginal community members’ endeavours in a self-sustaining future through employment, training, mentorship, donation, revenue sharing, and business development and community awareness opportunities.
Currently, Cloutier’s Machine Shop Ltd. has multiple Aboriginal partnerships in place, which have proven to be mutually beneficial. Some of our joint ventures and/or partnerships involve the following Aboriginal communities:
Moose Cree First Nation, Taykwa Tagamou Nation, FHQ Developments, Rainy River First Nation and Wabun Tribal Council governing: Matachewan First Nation, Beaverhouse First Nation, Mattagami First Nation, Brunswick House First Nation, Chapleau Ojibway First Nation, and Flying Post First Nation.
